From Research to Real-World Impact
The initiative was founded by two physicians specializing in HPV research who recognized that cervical cancer is largely preventable. Yet approximately 350,000 women die each year—often due to limited access to prevention and screening. To address this inequality, eDNA Teknoloji developed an affordable HPV test kit that enables early detection, particularly for women facing financial or infrastructural barriers.
The CarciScan initiative promotes equitable healthcare through modern biotechnology and user-friendly self-sampling kits. In addition, it collaborates with local healthcare providers to raise awareness, reduce cultural barriers, and strengthen understanding of preventive screening.
In regions where the test kits have been introduced, screening rates have increased while late-stage diagnoses have declined. The goal is to reinforce healthcare as a fundamental right and contribute to the long-term elimination of cervical cancer.
